Rama Bhatt, Ph.D., is a Co-founder and Owner of Medchem Source LLC. Dr. Bhatt has authored over 37 publications in peer reviewed journals invented 4 US patents and presented at numerous scientific meetings. Prior to founding Medchem, Dr. Bhatt was a Senior Scientist at Cell Therapeutics Inc. where he established a proven track record of drug discovery which culminated in two clinical candidates, and three early stage developmental drug candidates. He has a Ph.D in Organic Chemistry from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay and was a post doctotal fellow at UT Southwestern Medical Center, Dallas, TX . He has over 16 years of experience in biopharmaceutical industries and academic research. Dr. Bhatt’s research interests are medicinal chemistry, natural product synthesis and isolation, organometallic chemistry, stereo specific synthesis, heterocyclic chemistry and eicosanoids.
